Third Round Public Guided Tour

Due to safety concern, the guided tour on 17 Aug (Sat) would be postponed until further notice. Please be reminded to check the mailbox for updates. Thanks for your kind consideration.

After the last two rounds of the guided tour in Wan Chai, will you have a new definition of the historic buildings such as the Blue House, No. 7 Mallory Street, Woo Cheong Pawn Shop and Wan Chai Post Office? Will you think of a bunch of old and dilapidated buildings? Or the deep stories behind them?

Recently, the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors and the Hong Kong Historic Building Conservation Association have organized two workshops to introduce the two common traditional Chinese techniques of the old buildings, which are the leafy mouldings and gold-painting. In the theme of the traditional Chinese architecture of July, a team of surveyors will take you to the New Territories to learn about the historic buildings of Ping Shan. Discover the story behind each monument restoration.

Through our guided tour, you can learn to appreciate the beauty and value of historical buildings, as well as understanding the importance of maintaining them. To practice the concept of "Maintenance and Appreciation of Historical Buildings", welcome to join us!

* Quota is limited and registration will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis.

The registration confirmation will be sent to the successful applicant by email one week before the event. Please refer to the online registration form for the terms and conditions of the workshop.
